(CRG) is a multi-discipline firm featuring infrastructure general contracting, specialty contracting and a certified precast concrete manufacturer as part of its portfolio of services and capabilities. In conjunction with our partnering consulting engineering firms, CRG is capable of responding to a wide variety of project needs. The company completes many projects each year, but specializes in delivering projects with difficult tasks, conditions and schedules. We execute projects through a variety of delivery systems, ranging from traditional contracting arrangements to turnkey design-build project execution. Typical projects include highway and structures construction, specialty geo-support system construction, deep foundations, underground utilities, and other innovative specialty design build construction venues.

  • OUR RESOURCES
    CRG draws on a staff of professional consultants, construction managers, estimators, schedulers, superintendents, crew members and office support staff. The CRG fleet includes heavy construction equipment, all standard of the industry from small dozers and loaders up to large excavators and drill rigs. When you need a lot of production on a fast-schedule job site, you can count on CRG to deliver the optimum number of machines, with a skilled operator in every seat. CRG’s equipment is primarily serviced and repaired in the company's shop in Union SC. This location also serves as our staging area for long-haul mobilization. Often, a complement of equipment can be delivered to a job site days or even weeks ahead of the company's competitors.
  • OUR CERTIFICATIONS
    CRG is extremely proud of the Federal and State certifications it has earned Certified Woman Owned Small Disadvantaged Business Entity (DBE) within all Federal, State and Local government agencies National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA). CRG’s full service precast manufacturing plant ranks in the top 5% nationally for its QA&QC and overall inspection review scores. CRG’s precast plant is also certified with SCDOT, NCDOT and GDOT. CRG is a licensed General Contractor in the State of South Carolina. CRG is a prequalified prime/general contractor and specialty subcontractor with SCDOT, NCDOT and GDOT.

  • SAFETY
    CRG has an uncompromising commitment to safety. Our mission is to promote an accident-free work environment by developing positive safety attitudes throughout the workplace. A full-time Safety Office administers training and inspection programs that cover all aspects of job performance in the field, at the maintenance facility, and in transport operations. At CRG, providing a safe work environment and promoting safety consciousness is of utmost importance. We train our employees to always consider safety first. This training is the vehicle that drives our everyday job performance, with safety as our number one priority. Safety Compliance CRG has submitted written safety programs for review and have received 100% verification of compliance to OSHA and industry standards. We share our client's high level of commitment to Safety. Education and Training A comprehensive Safety Manual governs the performance of our crews. Equipment operators and laborers receive safety training specific to their work environment. Additional training is specified for each job description, which may include compliance with Mine Safety and Health Administration, Federal & State DOT, Federal Railroad Administration, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration rules, among others. Project Foremen and Field Technicians are subject to additional training requirements, including first aid and CPR, confined space, lifting and rigging, forklift and powered platform, PPE assessment, and hazard communication. The CRG Safety Officer conducts weekly job briefings that outline the activities for the week, all anticipated hazards, and methods used to safely work. Safety Pre-planning At CRG, safety plans and practices are put into place well before the project begins. Prior to beginning work, our Safety Officer and Project Manager discuss site-specific health and safety plan considerations for each project to account for the conditions and hazards anticipated to be present at each site. Once the project begins, the Safety Officer makes random jobsite visits to monitor work in progress and consult with supervisors to further assess hazards and performance. Drug-Free Workplace Our goal is to ensure that every employee is provided a safe work environment. In order to deliver outstanding service to our customers, we must prevent injuries, property loss, and damage. With pre-employment drug testing and random testing of employees throughout the year, CRG’s zero tolerance policy offers the highest level of protection available against potential workplace safely liabilities.
  • QUALITY
    CRG takes quality very seriously. Our clients expect it and our reputation depends on it. To ensure that we provide our clients with a quality project, we prepare and implement a Quality Management Plan designed specifically for the individual project. This Plan, developed in collaboration with the Owner and design team, consists of several components including; communication, coordination, design verification, revision control, baseline schedule, schedule management, environmental compliance, field inspections, quality control testing, verification sampling, reporting, non-conformance tracking and resolution, and independent assurance. CRG employs full-time, Project Managers whose responsibilities include ensuring compliance with the Quality Management Plan, evaluation of means and methods, documentation, and reporting to the Job Foreman. Additionally, to ensure an unbiased review of all construction activities, CRG randomly contracts with an independent quality assurance consultant whose responsibilities range from monitoring operations to provision of testing and verification services to special inspections to maintenance of all inspection, sampling and testing records. CRG’s goal is 100-percent compliance with the contract documents. In order to reach that goal, we also mandate the same performance from our consultants and sub-contractors. We do not sacrifice quality for any reason.
  • ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE
    CRG has worked as a general contractor and subcontractor on dozens of environmentally sensitive projects over the years. We take environmental compliance very seriously. As a result, we have never received a compliance violation citation. Our work methods and practices are designed for zero- impact on surrounding eco-systems. Since environmental stewardship cannot be compromised, we work in close cooperation with jurisdictional agencies to deliver full compliance on every project. Our construction crews are directed by foremen and management with training and certification in erosion control and storm water pollution prevention. Ongoing inspection and monitoring are routine. CRG utilizes high quality materials and implements recognized best-management practices to manage every job site for effective environmental stewardship. CRG crews are also trained and prepared for hazardous spill response. Materials and methods are readily available for quick deployment on all sites where spills may be a potential. We work aggressively and proactively to ensure that spills never occur. Our preventative maintenance and routine inspections guarantee that all equipment on site is ready to perform productively and without incident. Numerous clients can attest to our success in delivering on our environmental commitment. From bridge MSE wall construction projects over rivers and streams, to projects adjacent to and within major waterways and wetlands, we have an outstanding record of performance.
